Henry the Heron, here, and am I ever in love with this place! Spalding and I just had a great day on the Canongate course playing in Heron Bay’s first Charity Golf Tournament. I don’t know if you were able to make it or not, but it was as hot as it can get in Henry County. The golf balls were hot, too, except a couple here and there that landed in the water hazards. Spalding was more than happy to get them out for us and catch a couple of frogs while he was at it.
I came close to winning a Mercury Mariner in the Hole in One contest. Too bad close only counts in horseshoes. I did win something in the charity raffle. Some of the money raised went to the American Heart Association, and some with to Locust Grove: A Better home Town, Inc.
The best part for me, though, was getting to know my neighbors. Construction is moving along on our house, and I am just flapping to get out here full time!
